Infrastructure Products for Urban Trees and Drainage

GreenBlue Urban designs and manufactures engineered infrastructure used in urban tree planting and sustainable drainage systems.

Our products are specified across highways, public realm and development projects to support successful tree establishment, structural performance in paved environments and effective surface water management.

Browse the components used across tree planting and drainage schemes, from structural systems and planting media through to surface elements — all designed and manufactured in-house using recycled materials. Used across highways, public realm and development projects, they are built to perform in real site conditions. Explore the categories below to find the right components for your project.

Soil Cell Systems

Structural soil support systems that create large uncompacted soil volumes beneath paved surfaces while maintaining pavement load-bearing capacity

SuDS Tree Pit Systems

Integrated tree pit systems designed to combine urban tree planting with sustainable drainage infrastructure

Tree Planting Infrastructure

Components that support tree establishment above and below ground, including guards, grilles, irrigation and anchoring systems.

Rain Gardens

Pre-engineered rain garden systems designed to manage surface water runoff while supporting urban greening.

SuDS Planters

Surface water management planters designed for streets, developments and retrofit schemes

Furniture

Street furniture for public realm projects, including seating and surface elements designed for durability in urban environments

Engineered for real-world conditions

Every component is designed to work as part of a complete system — tested, proven and built to perform on site. Whether you’re specifying early or responding to project constraints, our products are made to reduce risk, simplify installation and deliver long-term results.

FAQ's

The UK range includes structural soil cells, SuDS tree-pit components, rain gardens, SuDS planters, irrigation and aeration systems, root management, anchoring, guards, grilles, geotextiles, membranes, soils and street furniture. Products can be selected individually or combined into a coordinated tree-pit or drainage system. Selection should begin with the performance required by the tree, site and drainage strategy, not simply the product category.

That depends on how much coordination the project requires. A single component may be appropriate where the wider tree pit or drainage design is already resolved. A complete system is often more useful where soil volume, loading, utilities, water movement, planting and installation interfaces need to work together. In either case, every component should have a clear function and be compatible with the surrounding construction.

Yes. Some systems are suited to planned developments where layouts can be coordinated from the outset, while others are designed for constrained retrofit locations. The choice depends on available space, depth, utilities, catchment, loading, access and installation sequence. Retrofit does not remove the need for design; it makes accurate surveys and flexible system configuration more important.

Resources include datasheets, product guides, installation guides, CAD drawings and technical guides. The team can also provide specification and layout support where project-specific coordination is required. Designers should use the current documents for the selected product and confirm that loading, soil volume, hydraulic function and interface details reflect the actual project rather than relying on a generic detail.
